Proclaim integrates with Keynote, so you can bring your completed Keynote presentations directly into Proclaim as an image slideshow service item. In order to import from Keynote, you must have Keynote installed on your Mac computer.
Note: If you’ve never built a presentation within Proclaim, it’s easy to get started. Building your sermon directly in Proclaim gives you access to powerful features. Learn more about the sermon options available with Proclaim.
Locate your Keynote file
Proclaim allows you to import a Keynote slideshow as a service item or as a presentation.
Import as a Service Item
This option works best if you’ve already started building your Proclaim presentation. You can add the Keynote file as an image slideshow service item. Click Add Item and hover over Import Item. Select PowerPoint/Keynote….
Note: You may need to grant Proclaim permission to access your file system.
Import as a Presentation
This option works best if you haven’t started building your service presentation in Proclaim, as it adds your Keynote into a blank Proclaim presentation as an image slideshow service item.
Note: You may need to grant Proclaim permission to access your file system.
Add your Keynote file
Using either import method above brings you to this same step. Browse your computer to select your desired Keynote file and click Open.
If you want the presentation to sync with your presentation team, ensure Use on this computer only is not checked. Rename the sermon if applicable and click Add.
Proclaim imports all the Keynote slides in the file and groups them under a single heading as an item in your presentation.
However you import your Keynote, you can advance through the slides as static images. If you’ve built transitions in Keynote between points, Proclaim will each transition as a new image.
Note: Remember, imported Keynote files cannot be edited within Proclaim, as Proclaim imports each advance in your Keynote as a static image. Importing your Keynote as images ensures your slides display as accurately as possible.
