Proclaim offers numerous options for the transitions between slides throughout your presentation. Your presentations include four sections in the order of service: the pre-service loop, warm-up, service, and post-service loop.
Types of Transitions
- Manual: for the service section, you can add manual transitions to any service item(s)
- Auto-advancing: the pre-service loop, warm-up, and post-service loop sections include auto-advancing transitions by default
You can apply a slide transition to your entire presentation, a single service item, or multiple service items.
Manual Transitions
You can add manual transitions to a single service item, to multiple service items, or to your entire presentation.
Change Slide Transition for a Single Service Item
-
Put Proclaim in EDIT mode and select the service item you want to change.
-
Check the box labelled Use no transition, and click no to expand options for slide transitions. After selecting your desired transition, Proclaim adds the option to adjust the time interval. Click the number to select your desired length of time.
-
Switch Proclaim to PREVIEW mode to view your transition. The new transition begins with the transition to the service item you changed and reverts to the slide transition for the rest of the presentation as Proclaim navigates to the next service item.
Change Slide Transitions in Multiple Service Items
-
Put Proclaim in EDIT mode and select the service items you want to change. Select multiple service items by clicking on the first service item in the series you want to change, holding Shift, and clicking on the last item in the series. You can also select items individually by pressing Ctrl+click (Cmd+click for Mac) for each service item you want to change. Selecting multiple service items changes the view to the Multiple service items selected options.
-
Check the box labelled Use no transition. Click no to expand options for slide transitions. After selecting your desired transition, Proclaim adds the option to adjust the time interval. Click the number to select your desired length of time.

Select Preview mode to view your slide transitions.
Auto-Advancing Transitions
You can set Proclaim to auto-advance slides after a set amount of time.
Customize Slide Transitions:
- Pre-Service, Warm Up, and Post-Service Sections: You can adjust the length, type, and duration of transition.
- Service Section: or the service section, you can add an auto-transition and adjust its length, type, and duration.
Did you know? When you add an item to the pre-service, warm-up, or post-service sections, Proclaim automatically calculates the number of sections your service item needs to display based on the amount of text on the slide. You can, however, adjust the timing, type, or duration of the transition.
Adjust the timing of the auto-advancing.
With any service item(s) selected, ensure Auto-advance is checked in the Content tab of your service item. Click the blue number to change the transition timing.
Every section except the service section is already set to auto-advance. The timing of the automatic transition display in gray in the order of service panel. To change this default timing, check Auto-advance as shown above and set a new time. (Learn more about Proclaim’s order of service format.)
Did you know? In the Service section only, you can also repeat a service item with multiple items (like an image slideshow) by checking Repeat next to the auto-advance timer. Repeated items will indefinitely loop until you manually advance.
Adjust the type of transition.
With any service item(s) selected, ensure Use transition is checked in the Content tab. Click the blue word (set “no” by default) and choose a new transition.
Note: To change all the transitions in your presentation at the same time, expand the Settings menu and select Presentation. Any changes you make here will apply to your entire presentation, except when you individually set a specific service item to use a different transition type (as shown here). By default, Proclaim sets every transition to a 1 second Fade. You can change this globally from the Presentation settings as just described or individually with each slide by following the directions above.
Adjust the duration of the transition.
With any service item(s) selected, ensure Use transition is checked in the Content tab. Click the blue number to change the duration of the set transition.
Note: To change all the transitions in your presentation at the same time, expand the Settings menu and select Presentation. Any changes you make here will apply to your entire presentation, except when you individually set a specific service item to use a different transition duration (as shown here). By default, Proclaim sets every transition to a 1 second Fade. You can change this globally from the Presentation settings as just described or individually with each slide by following the directions above.
