The Service Builder feature in Proclaim provides a quick and easy way of adding Bible readings and songs to a Proclaim service.
If you are a first-time user of Proclaim, the Service Builder will load automatically when you start the application.
Otherwise, it can be invoked either from the Add item menu or directly from the Service Builder toggle:
The top row of the Service Builder enables you to add Bible readings while the bottom row is used for songs.
To enter a Bible reading, type the passage in the passage box and select from the dropdown.
This adds the reading to all of the slides in the top row, providing a number of media options. To see what a slide would look like in more detail, hover your mouse over it.
To see more media options, click the More button.
When you know which one you want to use, click it to select it - you will see the text is removed from the other slides. This also updates the information at the bottom right of the Service Builder showing how many items have been selected and providing a button to add selected slides to the Proclaim service.
If, after all, you decide not to use that media you can click it again which will deselect it and the text will return to the other media slides for you to choose from.
You can now add additional Bible readings in the same way and choose the media types you want for them. This will result in a number of Bible reading slides added to your Proclaim service. If you want to change the Bible translation, open the dropdown on the right and select the translation you want.
You can then follow the same process to add songs to Service Builder.
Continue adding them until you have all the songs you want to include in the service.
Now, to add these Bible readings and songs to the Proclaim service you can either click the Add selected button at the bottom right of the Service Builder or drag any of the selected slides to the Proclaim service section. You can then move them around - using "drag and drop" within this section as you wish.
Importing Song Selections from External Systems
The Service Builder provides an Import option to import songs from external planning systems as shown in the dropdown.
This does require you to have a Proclaim Integration to the external system you want to make use of - and this then gives you options to select a service plan and to import its associated songs.
Note: a Third-Party subscription to these services is required.
This will add the songs to the Service Builder from where you can select the required media and click the Import button to add them to the Proclaim service. If you want to use different background media for the different songs, select each media background in turn before adding the songs to the service.
