Note: This article only relates to Proclaim running on the Windows platform.
For many years, Proclaim has used Windows Media Player to play videos, and for a long time this has come standard on Windows computers.
However, some newer versions of the Windows operating system don't include this player, which has left some people unable to play videos in their services.
Proclaim 4.11 included a new media player that does not depend on the presence of Windows Media Player. This allows you to play videos in your services whether or not you have the Windows player.
To enable it, navigate to Settings > General, then choose Use new Video Player. You'll need to close and relaunch Proclaim for the setting to take effect. You can continue using the Windows Media Player by not selecting this option.
Note: If you have problems playing particular videos using the Windows Media Player, then it is worth trying the new player to see if that handles the video better.
